ConTech solutions provider Open ECX appoints Nathan Ollier as CEO
Nathan joins Open ECX from enterprise software solutions provider Advanced, as the business looks to expand its remit beyond construction and into adjacent sectors in the supply chain. Nathan will be tasked with driving growth into those industries and bringing Open ECX’s product and services into new markets, while reinforcing and building the brand’s leading presence in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
Nathan has a proven history in leading transformational change in business operations and driving businesses through periods of growth, something he will be applying to his new role at Open ECX both organically and through acquisition. His previous experience includes leading the operations of Kirona Solutions Ltd, which was acquired by Advanced in 2019, where he was Chief Operating Officer, before taking the lead as Vice President, Finance and Spend Management solutions at Advanced
This appointment comes as Open ECX looks to invest in its workforce and build upon its services to help the construction industry progress. Recent research by the firm found that construction businesses using innovative technology were saving on average a month in time and 200 hours a year, along with between £10,000-100,000, and those that hadn’t already adopted eTrading were planning to in the coming months.
With this in mind, the Open ECX team is looking to expand on the crucial services it offers, Nathan’s experience leaves him perfectly placed to lead Open ECX in this next chapter of its journey.
Matthew Jones, Founder of Open ECX says “It’s a great honour to be welcoming Nathan into Open ECX, and I’ve no doubt he’ll be instrumental in our next chapter. As the digitisation of the construction industry has continued to evolve, so has Open ECX and Nathan’s appointment as CEO is the latest of many exciting evolutions to come for us. I have no doubt that Nathan will excel in this new position and will drive Open ECX to new heights, positioning the company in exciting new sectors and utilising his business software development skills to improve our products for our clients for the foreseeable future.”
Nathan Ollier says, “With economic pressures being what they are, it’s never been more important to provide construction firms with market-leading solutions to help drive efficiency, streamline ordering and purchasing and continue to improve the impact of technology in this sector.”
Open ECX’s new CEO appointment aligns with its growth plans and has been bolstered by European private equity fund, MonacoSol, which has an extensive investment portfolio including ConTech firm WebContractor, and recruitment businesses Hiring Hub and Furza.
